White House Cliche Czar

I'm applying for the job of Very Senior Advisor For Cliches in the Obama administration. Here are some cliches which are crying for White House attention:

• A can of worms - Think Iraq and Afghanistan. Someone in the previous administration opened the can and now there is hell to pay. Put the lid on it fast and get the hell out.


• Money talks, bullshit walks - Obama must play the game. Its time to stop the rhetoric and time to grease some palms to get things done.


• Monkey see, monkey do - Avoid this one like the plague, Mr. President. You got elected to bring us change. Lets start changing, not imitating.


• A bird in the hand, is worth two in the bush - Mr. President, put this on a wrist band and glance at it at every health care reform meeting.


• Raise the roof - Nothing wrong with doing this Mr. President. Proven leaders are masters at showing authority after patience is exhausted.
