I guess that the "sequester" applies only to domestic spending. Here we are one day away from automatic budget cuts across the board and I read in the New York Times that we have generously pledged 60 million dollars to the Syrian Rebels. The money is not meant for weaponery but I'm sure the Syrians will find a way to piss it away on Iranian missile launchers. By the time we are aware that we are arming the rebels, the money will be gone. I would assume there must be some loopholes in the cuts demanded by the "sequester" which permit increased foreign aid. More frightfully, more domestic aid dollars will be cut in favor of foreign aid dollars.
I also understand that our omnipotent politicians would have us believe that the "sequester" is not to be feared after all. There is a growing trend among Democrats and Republicans alike, that sequestor is something we can cope with, proving once again that we have elected a government that doesn't know its ass from a hole in the ground and tries to cover their ass by blowing smoke up our ass. More accurately it proves that when it comes to electing responsible respresentatives to our Congress, we don't know our ass from a hole in the ground and end up making asses of ourselves.
